Two aggregating anemones nestle into a hole in the rocky shoreline, one beginning to open and display its brilliant purple and teal tentacles. These animals are capable of reproducing by splitting into two - so these anemones may have at some time been only one. Aggregating anemones attach sand, rocks, and pieces of shell to the outside of their bodies when closed to camouflage and protect themselves from the sun.

A note on prints: All prints are printed on archival acid-free paper with dye-based ink. While dye-based ink is not fully archival, these prints are expected to last without fading for approximately 90 years when framed and displayed using non-UV-protective glass. They are expected to last 28 years before fading when displayed without framing and exposed to indoor room lighting and air, and for 200 years before fading if stored in an album or other dark storage method.
